This activity will provide a complete description of each portion of the flowchart shown above with associated implementation procedures.

This activity will give you an opportunity to:

1. Review the wildland fire implementation procedures in the absence of a fire management plan.

2. Review the wildland fire implementation procedures with an approved fire management plan.

Read Chapter 3, of the Wildland Fire Use Implementation Procedures Reference Guide, February 2005.

The review system (lbelow) will ask the following:

What is the purpose of giving management the ability to select an appropriate management response such as wildland fire use?

When would you go from a Stage I Wildland Fire Implementation Plan to a Stage II?
